Call for Expressions of Interest -- New AMECA Special Interest Group on Women and Children
Call for Expressions of Interest -- New AMECA Special Interest Group on Women and Children
AMECA (Africa and Middle East Consortium on Addiction) is pleased to announce the formation of a new Special Interest Group (SIG) dedicated to addressing the unique and profound impact of addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders on women and children.
Despite being disproportionately affected, the specific needs of women and children often remain underrepresented in research and clinical practice. This SIG aims to become a central forum for researchers, clinicians, and public health professionals to:
· Collaborate on innovative research projects.
· Share best practices and clinical insights.
· Develop evidence-based resources and interventions.
· Advocate for policies that support the well-being of women and children.
AMECA invites its members who are passionate about this critical area to express their interest in joining this foundational group. Your expertise is vital to shaping its direction and ensuring its impact.
